ELECTIONS

University of New Brunswick Student Union

Each year, Student Leaders are chosen to represent over 10,000 students at the University of New Brunswick, taking on the responsibility of leading the Union.

The UNBSU conducts two elections annually – the general election occurs during the Winter Semester and another in the Fall Semester known as the by-election.

During these events, students have the chance to elect major representatives for the upcoming school year.

These representatives include:

  1. Executive Positions

  2. Faculty and Non-Faculty Representatives

  3. Senators

  4. Board of Governors

Each role within the union carries distinct responsibilities, aiming to bring about meaningful changes in various aspects, whether it's within academic courses, the Union itself, the university, or the broader community. Ideal candidates for these positions are students with a genuine passion for education and a commitment to enhancing the UNB community. Serving in these capacities provides an opportunity to enact tangible and positive transformations for the student body.
