Global Brigades is the world’s largest student-led health and development organization. Our international non-profit implements a holistic model to meet communities' health and economic goals. At Fredericton Global Brigades, our main goal is to educate our members about international development, sustainability, and ethical volunteering, and organize groups of volunteers for our annual brigade trips that contribute to the sustainable development initiative of Global Brigades. These brigades typically occur after final exams at the end of April. Through this experience, we aim for our volunteers to gain professional skills, a global perspective, a deeper understanding of culture, and to act as Global Citizens on our shared globe.

NBWIB seeks to provide an inclusive and supportive space to foster the personal and professional development of all UNB students regardless of gender or faculty. We will provide these opportunities through events like our annual conference, case competition and various professional development workshops! We strive for these opportunities to provide people the confidence to achieve success, however that looks to them! The UWC is a safe space on campus that is open to all members of the UNB and STU community. Our room is located in the SUB and we are a resource on campus that provides information on safe sex, sexual health, safety injections, social and educational programs, women's shelters, and more. Additionally, we are stocked year-round with condoms and menstrual products.

ArtZone is a home base for students interested in the arts. Our mission is to provide the student community with the opportunity to develop art skills and literacies through workshops as well as informal sharing and skills building. The group will meet together to take workshops on campus, practice their skills, and support each other as they develop artistic skills and knowledge. Given the suspension of the Fine Arts minor, ArtZone has a particularly valuable role to play in helping to foster a stronger arts community, and providing a vital link for individuals who have little experience but are interested in exploring the arts.

Model United Nations

The University of New Brunswick Model United Nations (UNBMUN) Conference is a student-run organization that simulates the United Nations Assembly. This annual three-day conference takes place in the beautiful city of Fredericton, New Brunswick. During the conference, students will assume the roles of delegates from different nations and engage in discussions and negotiations on international topics of concern. From the United Nations General Assembly to World Health Organization to the United Nations Security Council, delegates will partake in engaging debate and diplomacy while developing with new and innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues. The objective is to reach a consensus and create resolutions that address these challenges while considering the interests of all participating countries. Inviting high school and university students from across Atlantic Canada, UNBMUN will be an exhilarating Model United Nations Experience.”

The goal of Women in Computer Science & Engineering (WiCSE) is to address the issues female engineers and computer scientists face in their everyday lives, increase awareness about engineering and computer science professions, and to encourage more girls to pursue engineering and computer science. Outreach will be a big part of WiCSE, as the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE) conferences, Go ENG Girl, & Go CODE Girl will belong to this club. ONWiE outreach programs allow female students to explore exciting topics related to engineering and technology in a confidence-building hands-on environment. We are here to provide support and resources for female students in engineering and computer science faculties at UNB.
